Biographical Notes:
Since forming O’Steen & O’Steen, P.L., in 2010, Jason O’Steen has combined his trial experience with his business know-how and financial expertise to build one of North Florida’s premier mediation law firms. Mr. O’Steen has extensive experience mediating complex, high profile, media-sensitive disputes. He has mediated thousands of cases in North Florida and throughout the state. Mr. O’Steen has focused primarily on federal cases, such as employment discrimination claims, civil rights violations, FLSA claims, and 1983 actions. However, as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator,he has also mediated a wide range of state civil cases, including claims of sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, ADA/FMLA violations, personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, commercial foreclosures, bankruptcy, and several class-action suits. Mr. O’Steen has also served as an adjunct professor teaching Business Law at the Florida State University College of Business, and he is a regular presenter at the Florida Dispute Resolution Center’s Annual Conference. In 2015 and again in 2018, Mr. O’Steen served as the mediator for negotiated rulemaking sessions for the Florida Department of Health regarding medical marijuana implementation.

Employment History:
Mr. O’Steen worked as a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter prior to co-founding and becoming President and a shareholder of Lobbytools, Inc., Florida’s leading legislative tracking firm. Mr. O’Steen later entered public service as an Assistant State Attorney in Leon and Wakulla Counties in the misdemeanor and felony divisions.
